We are one of ten regional RSPCA Control Centres. Based in Peterborough we operate 24 hours a day, every day of the year dealing with any and all animal related problems and complaints. The principle role of the Control Centre is to answer all calls to our national number (130,000 per annum) and dispatch all collection and complaint calls to the regions Inspectors and Collection Officer.
Once the decision was made to refurbish the control room we examined all the options for call handling. Our national system didn't have the capacity to absorb our calls and so minimising the distruption to our operations locally was a high priority.
We went to tender and DKF Interiors were amongst the
companies who submitted proposals. The company impressed us because they were able to offer a complete service ranging from design to construction and fitting and decoration. As the project progressed the value of having one company co-ordinating all the activity was proven time and again.
The company is of the size that Director Gary Scott was able to lead the project
himself and that meant I could be sure that all of the issues and actions from various meetings would be seen through. I never once heard the phrase "you'll have to talk to the boss about that, he didn't tell us anything!"
Gary was well aware of our charitable status and was able to justify costs and balance them against quality as the project developed. DKF completed the project on time and with no unexpected costs. No one in the building was looking forward to the disruption the refurbishment would cause but it was made a lot easier than we expected. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending DKF for this type of project in the future.
